		<description>Genealogists have always helped each other. Message boards and Forums have always been a popular way for genies to communicate online, and newer platforms such as Genealogywise.  Twitter makes it more instant of course which is what we want when we are on a roll with research (even while cooking dinner... been there..) Geneabloggers recently ran a posting on genealogists Giving Back -   http://www.geneabloggers.com/52-weeks-genealogy-challenge-44-giving/
Also like all problems we have in life, it helps to talk about them!

		<description>I have loads of Gardiners or variants thereof in my tree. As my tree is mostly Scottish I always try Gairdiner or similar as in Scotland the name is pronounced Gay-rdiner as opposed to Gah-rdiner. If anyone is trying to trace Scottish Gardiners I would give it a try as the person writing it down would probably have had it said to them as Gay-rdiner.</description>
